Forest Ranch Lumber offers portable sawmilling service, solar kiln drying, log removals, custom lumber sales and snow removal services. We are located 13 miles east of Chico, CA on scenic highway 32. Our portable sawmill and lumber sales serves Northern California.

Portable sawmill service

If you've got logs, let us turn them into valuable custom lumber, beams, boards, stakes or slabs. Our Amish manufactured portable sawmill can turn that log deck into high quality wood products at a fraction of the cost. You can also deliver your logs to our mill for even better pricing. Even if you don't want the lumber, we can mill your logs and sell the lumber at auction where you will be paid a percent of the profit. Learn more about our portable sawmill service.

 

Kiln drying

Our custom solar kiln can hold up to 2,000 board feet of wood. It is currently under construction. Check back soon!

 

 

Lumber sales

We offer the highest quality lumber in dimensional form like 2x4, custom beams, boards, agricultural stakes and beautiful wood slabs for custom furniture projects. Not only will you get a product that is of higher quality than big box stores and milled exactly to your specifications, but our discount prices beat all our local competition. Log removal

Has a land management or utility arborist left you with a large unwanted log deck? Do you have a hardwood orchard that has been removed and you'd like to save on disposal? From small stacks of pine to large black walnut logs, we are interested in your logs and will often remove them for free. We may even pay cash for valuable logs! Snow removal

Our mill is located in Forest Ranch at just above the 2600 foot mark. With the return of traditional winter weather in the region, we often close the mill on snow days and are available to clear roofs, walkways and long rural gravel driveways. Learn more about snow removal.
